TITAN WEALTH ACQUIRES MIDLANDS-BASED WEALTH PLANNING FIRM
Capital and Trust - January 4, 2023 -
Titan Wealth Holdings has announced the acquisition of Midlands-based wealth firm Telford Mann Group. The acquisition, which awaits regulatory approval, is anticipated to be closed within this month.
Telford Mann Group, based in Kettering was established in 1988 and jointly managed by Jon Telford and Jilly Mann. The firm primarily offers chartered financial planning and discretionary investment management services.
Telford and Mann will remain in the business for a further two years to facilitate a smooth transfer to the wider Titan group.
Andrew Fearon, joint CEO and head of M&A at Titan Wealth, said, ‘The acquisition of Telford Mann represents an exciting opportunity for Titan and brings a high-quality business into the Group with the scope to further grow EBITDA over the coming years. Titan is increasingly well-positioned to pursue our ambitious growth targets, meet and drive further demand for our integrated client to custody model of investment and platform services.”
The purchase comes after Titan made several acquisitions last year.

What this acquisition means for the buyer
For Titan Wealth, the acquisition of Telford Mann Group represents an opportunity to expand its presence within the Midlands and further develop its integrated wealth management model. By bringing in an established firm with chartered financial planning and discretionary investment management capabilities, the transaction adds both advisory expertise and an established client base.
The retention of the founding principals for a transitional period may support continuity of client relationships and allow for a structured handover into the wider Titan group. This approach is often used in acquisitions where maintaining service consistency is a priority during integration.
The deal is also consistent with Titan Wealth’s broader acquisition-led growth strategy, which focuses on building scale across advice, investment management, and platform services to support long-term expansion objectives.
What this means for sellers in the sector
For owners of established financial planning and wealth management firms, this transaction highlights continued interest from larger consolidators seeking regional businesses with long-standing client relationships and embedded advisory teams.
The continued involvement of the founders post-transaction also reflects a structure that may appeal to business owners who are considering succession planning but wish to support continuity during an agreed transition period. In similar cases, sellers may evaluate how involvement after completion aligns with their personal and professional objectives.
Market trend context
The UK wealth management sector continues to experience consolidation, particularly within regional advisory firms that combine financial planning and discretionary investment management. Buyers are increasingly seeking established businesses with recurring revenues, experienced advisers, and strong local reputations.
Private equity-backed groups continue to play a significant role in driving acquisition activity, with a focus on building scalable platforms that integrate advice, investment management, and operational infrastructure. This trend has contributed to increased competition for quality firms in regional markets such as the Midlands.
