About us
Capital and Trust is a leading mediator in the sale of financial services businesses in the UK. Since our establishment in 2014, we have successfully closed over 600 company sales, with almost 80 transactions completed in 2022 alone. Our deal sizes range from £250k to £300m.
In 2021, we completed 58 wealth management transactions, with a track record of working with nearly every wealth management buyer in the UK. We assist sellers in fully understanding the various propositions of potential acquirers, enabling them to make informed decisions that align with their business ambitions.
While the headline value of a sale is important, it is not always the most crucial factor. We understand that sellers may be tempted by high offers, but first focusing on the right cultural fit firm is key. It is also essential to consider other aspects such as earn out criteria, payment caveats, and liability terms for pre-deal advice, which can vary significantly between buyers.
To support our clients throughout the sale process, we have a network of specialists in compliance, legal, and tax advice. The cost of these services is covered by the buyer.
