UPDATE: LONDON-BASED IFA SEALS THE DEAL ON A SERIES OF ACQUISITIONS, BRINGING IN A STAGGERING 860 CLIENTS AND £330m IN ASSETS

Less than six months after the initial October announcement, IFA Wren Sterling Group seal the deal on a series of acquisitions, bringing in a staggering 860 clients and £330m in assets to the company.

CEO James Twinning notes: “It is fantastic to welcome new clients to Wren Sterling together with the people that have served them so well in the past.”

Wren Sterling simultaneously completed the acquisition of Nottingham-headquartered advice firm, Active Wealth Management, and Leamington Spa-based HB&O Financial Services at the end of March for an undisclosed sum.

As a result, Active Wealth Management Limited will join Wren Sterling’s Glasgow branch, while HB&O Financial Services will bolster Wren Sterling’s West Midlands presence.

“Both these deals will enable us not only to enhance the offering we are able to bring to clients but also improve the overall DNA of the whole company as we join forces with our new colleagues, who share our entrepreneurial drive and client-first culture,” underlines Twinning.

These recent acquisitions closely tailed the IFA’s purchase of the advisory firms Morfitt & Turnbull in Knutsford, Critchleys Financial Planning, and Mutual Financial Management in Cheshire, along with its discretionary fund management division, MDFM, in December of last year.

Moreover, Lightyear Capital, a New York-based private equity fund, has committed to backing Wren Sterling Group following a secondary management buyout in December 2021.
