PERSPECTIVE ACQUIRES 4 FIRMS

The assets under management of Wealth Manager and Financial Planner Perspective have increased by £310m after successfully finalising four additional acquisitions.

Currently, the company operates with 110 Financial Planners and a total of 410 employees across 31 offices throughout the United Kingdom.

Perspective has successfully completed 12 deals this year, including the recent acquisitions of Brighter Financial Services Ltd, Airedale Personal Financial Solutions Ltd, Granite Coast Ltd, and Brigham Wealth Management LLP.

In 2022, the firm completed 12 acquisitions and has amassed a total of 67 deals since its establishment 16 years ago.

These latest acquisitions have brought in approximately 1,100 new clients.

Here is a breakdown of the acquired firms and their respective specialisations:

• Perspective (Brighter): Formerly known as Brighter Financial Services, this Halifax-based firm, founded in 2010, offers advice to individuals, businesses, and charitable trusts. Their areas of expertise include retirement and estate planning, business strategy planning, investment, and income management. The firm will continue operating in Halifax and will benefit from the Perspective Academy, which ensures a prosperous future for the company in the area.
• Perspective (Home Counties): Airedale Personal Financial Solutions, based in Buckingham, joined Perspective on June 8. The firm’s directors sought acquisition due to their approaching retirement. After rebranding, Airedale Personal Financial Solutions will integrate with Perspective (Home Counties), joining several other acquisitions such as Searchlight Investments. The directors emphasised the importance of succession planning to ensure uninterrupted service to their valued clients.
• Granite Coast: This Financial Planning firm located in Cambridge was founded in 2012 and specialises in investment management. The chairman, Stephen Clifton, expressed confidence in Perspective’s ability to provide excellent care and client service, as well as maintain a local presence despite being part of a national group. The retention of Granite Coast’s team and the commitment to a local office in Cambridge played a crucial role in the decision to join Perspective.
• Brigham Wealth Management: The acquisition of Harrogate-based Brigham Wealth Management was finalised on June 9. David Brigham, the managing partner, and his clients will integrate into Perspective’s North East hub. Brigham recognised the need for support from a larger firm, especially regarding regulatory compliance and increasing costs, after working independently for several years.

Ian Wilkinson, CEO of Perspective, reported that the company currently has its largest-ever acquisition pipeline. They anticipate further acquisitions throughout the year, targeting firms of various sizes.
