COOPER PARRY WEALTH ACQUIRES TUNBRIDGE WELLS – BASED BUSINESS

The private equity-backed Financial Planner Cooper Parry Wealth (CPW) has completed its third acquisition of the year, fully taking over Creaseys Wealth, a joint venture with £220 million in assets under management (AUM) located in Tunbridge Wells. This joint business was originally established in 2015 by Cooper Parry Wealth and the accountants Creaseys, operating from Creaseys’ Tunbridge Wells office.
This acquisition marks CPW’s acquisition of the remaining half of the joint venture, which has seen its AUM grow to £220 million. Earlier this month, CPW acquired Chamberlyns, a Chartered Financial Planning firm based in Luton, further expanding its assets under management to over £1.3 billion and increasing its staff count to 70.
Notably, this is the third acquisition by Cooper Parry in 2023 and the sixth acquisition for the broader Cooper Parry Group. The Creaseys Wealth joint venture was already being managed by the CPW team, and the acquisition will not result in any changes to the advice and services provided to clients.
In 2023, CPW also acquired two other Financial Planning firms, Future Perfect in April and Chamberlyns. Cooper Parry Wealth CEO Stephen Jones expressed pride in the success of the joint venture and highlighted the strategic decision to simplify the business and take full ownership to support future growth plans. He emphasized that clients should expect a seamless transition.
Cooper Parry Wealth, established in 1999, shifted its focus in 2010 by departing from the traditional wealth management model to create a new proposition tailored to successful individuals and their families. In 2022, the firm joined forces with Waterland Private Equity to expedite its goal of reaching £4 billion in AUM by 2027. The company has offices in the East Midlands, West Midlands, and London.
