Fusion Consulting Group

PROSPERITY WEALTH CREATION ACQUISITION

Capital and Trust - April 13, 2023 -

Fusion Consulting Group, a global firm that provides professional services and advice, has purchased Prosperity Wealth Creation, based in Barnet, along with an unnamed IFA client book, for an undisclosed amount. This acquisition follows Fusion’s funding package from SME Capital, a growth finance solution provider, which provides funding ranging from £500,000 to £5m.

Fusion Financial aims to increase its assets under advice this year by acquiring more companies as part of its buy and build strategy.

Adam Maurice, Fusion’s director, is excited to welcome Neil Jacobs to the Fusion team, as he has known him for many years and believes he will continue to provide excellent financial advisory services to both his clients and Fusion’s clients. Fusion was established in 2015 by Mitch Young and Maurice to offer tax, accountancy, financial and legal services, digital marketing, and business advice to entrepreneurs, SMEs, and private clients.

What this acquisition means for the buyer

For Fusion Consulting Group, the acquisition of Prosperity Wealth Creation and an additional IFA client book supports its wider buy-and-build strategy across professional and financial services. By integrating an established financial advisory business in Barnet, Fusion strengthens its wealth management capability and increases its assets under advice, while expanding its client base within its broader multi-disciplinary offering.

The deal also reflects Fusion’s strategy of combining financial planning with its wider suite of professional services, including tax, legal, accountancy, and business advisory support. This integrated model enables cross-service collaboration and enhances the group’s ability to serve entrepreneur and SME clients within a single organisation.

Overall, the acquisition supports Fusion’s aim of scaling its financial services division through targeted acquisitions that complement its existing service lines and client profile.

What this means for sellers in the sector

For owners of independent financial advisory firms, this transaction highlights continued demand from diversified professional services groups seeking to expand their wealth management capability. Firms with established client books and experienced advisers are increasingly attractive to buyers looking to integrate financial planning into broader service offerings.

It also demonstrates how sellers can benefit from joining multi-disciplinary groups that provide access to wider professional expertise and cross-referral opportunities. For many business owners, this can offer both a managed exit and the opportunity for clients to receive more holistic support across financial and business needs.

Market trend context

The UK financial services market continues to see consolidation not only within wealth management but also across broader professional services groups. A growing trend is the integration of financial advisory firms into multidisciplinary organisations that combine accountancy, legal, tax, and consulting services.

This model reflects increasing demand from SMEs and entrepreneurs for joined-up advisory solutions, alongside investor interest in scalable, diversified service platforms. As a result, buy-and-build strategies are increasingly being used to create full-service professional services groups with recurring client relationships across multiple disciplines.
